Clubs and Bars in Britain

Clubs and bars in Britain have continued to increase in towns and cities, even with the many reasons for them to decline in number.  They have passed over considerable hardships and seem to have come out the other side relatively unscathed.  They are, however, still an object of contention and can be a source of great problems for many cities.

Nightclubs are a popular after bar resort for many people, be they those who wish to dance the night away or simply those who wish to continue their night out after the pubs close.  They are, however, quite an acquired taste and many people feel that nightclubs should not be the only venue available after midnight.  There are now quite a few pubs that are staying open late to allow

those who are not of the nightclubbing genre to stay out and enjoy their Friday and Saturday nights.

The traditional pub crawls around towns are a primary sight for many people on the weekends.  They are also not just the dominion of the young, there are still a lot of drinkers from the older generations who go out regularly and many of them have developed a sense about when to stop and where is best to go.  There are still a few problems caused by binge drinking when people go out.  Some still seem to feel that the object of their night out is to get as drunk as possible, as fast as possible; and feeling that this is the only way to enjoy a night out.

Pub crawls and ending the night in a nightclub can still be a great fun night out, as long as it is conducted properly.  If binge drinking is taken out of the equation and a group of friends can just go to each pub and have a nice drink, perhaps a fancy cocktail (many of these are now available as a “virgin” option so it does not have alcohol), sitting talking to your friends; before finally ending up in a night club dancing well into the early morning.  The feel of walking home in the early hours of the morning is somehow continental.  It is the kind of thing that a lot of people tend to do on holiday, sitting out in their villas, on balconies or in bars around picturesque surroundings, talking and drinking well into the next day.  This can of course be horribly obliterated if you are stumbling home in a haze and are unable to remember the fun you had the previous night.
