Violence linked to new drink laws

Already violence is linked to new drink laws in the local area. According to local paper
violence in the town last weekend, has been linked to the introduction of 24-hour drinking.
Three young men from Keighley, who had been on a night in the town last Friday, were badly beaten by another group just after 2am on Saturday morning, leaving one of the victims in hospital. The victims had been walking through the town centre when they got into an argument with another group, and it ended up in violence, with all three of the Yorkshiremen being attacked.

24 Hour Drinking - For Premises that have applied for New Licence

Well at last here it's finally here, 24 hour drinking for all those who have applied for and been granted their new licence, I wonder how that will affect people around here? I suppose people who have to get up for work will only notice the difference at weekends, when they can drink longer in the places where they have the extended drinking times, and people who have money and don't work can start drinking sooner, and finish drinking later.

The Sair - Linthwaite - Huddersfield

I was over at the Sair in Linthwaite near Huddersfield a week or two ago now, fantastic pub, great atmosphere and fantastic choice of beers brewed on the premises.
The Sair is also home to the small Linfit brewery, I found the English Guineas Stout (ABV 5.3%) utterly stunning. This is about as close to 'pub heaven' as you'll ever get

A couple of local pubs - Nelson - worth a mention.

I thought I better give a mention to two local pubs in Nelson, some would ask why bother? but to be honest they deserve a mention just for their pricing policy.
So here goes, The Station and The Lord Nelson.

A great pub to call for a few beers, good menu, good service and good atmosphere.

Good Food - Good Music - Good Beer

Here is a little info about a well known Vegetarian Restaraunt in Colne, Jims Cafe.
Don’t want to shout to loud about this one, as it’s a small intimate restaurant serving fantastic food, has great live music, and friendly clientele, wouldn’t want it to get so busy that locals like myself can’t get in.
