Here is a little info about a well known Vegetarian Restaurant in Colne, Jims Cafe.

Don’t want to shout to loud about this one, as it’s a small intimate restaurant serving fantastic food, has great live music, and friendly clientele, wouldn’t want it to get so busy that locals like myself can’t get in.

I was there last night, it was a little quiet compared to last week, but I still had an enjoyable night,

Good food, good music and good company.

I went for the Peruvian Mountain Potatoes from the specials menu, the other option was the Tarhoudant Cous Cous, both looked good, but the pineapple coleslaw swung it for me.

Just to give you a flavour of the food on offer, here are the specials from the menu.

Peruvian Mountain Potatoes

Steamed tumeric’d potatoes, sweetcorn, spinach, fresh basil & chili’d onion rings, covered with South American recipe cheese sauce plus pineapple coleslaw.

Tarhoudant Cous Cous

Cauliflower, Broccoli, mixed peppers, chickpeas, green beans aubergine leeks and marrow in fresh coriander, Moroccan masala sauce, cous cous, hot tomato sauce and yoghurt salad.

To follow with a handful of pints of Archers Trafalgar 4.2 % and great live acoustic music.
